Polaris launches new Bodyguard treadmill

Polaris Fitness has announced the launch of the Bodyguard T700 treadmill, the flagship of the range.

With the quality, elegance and functionality common to the Bodyguard range, the T700 has a running area of 22in x 63in capable of withstanding the toughest demands of the busy commercial gym.

It has a quiet 4hp motor allowing the user to run at speeds of up to 15mph, the machine's Sorbothane dual shock dissipation system helping to reduce impact and joint stress. Unique to the Bodyguard range, the T700 features Electronic Stride Control to ensure that the selected speed remains the same regardless of the users weight or the incline of the treadmill.

The display has five information screens, giving users easy access to key information, and the JustGoâ„¢ key allows them to step on the treadmill and be training within seconds.

Combined with 14 preset programmes, including hill climb, weight loss, speed run and heart rate control, each user can find a programme to suit their needs. The T700 also features the Gerkin Protocol, a sub-maximal fitness test allowing users to predict their VO2 maximum. The test stops when the user's heart rate reaches 85 per cent of their predicted maximum.

The programmes are supplemented by the Bodyguard patented Heart Rate Access inside feature. This allows users who forget to start in Heart Rate Control to enter it at any time during their workout, without the need to stop and re-programme.

The T700's elevation range of -3 per cent to +15 per cent gives users the option of facing an uphill fight, or using the decline for rehabilitation of lower leg injuries.

As well as all the usual enhancements, the T700 includes an in-built reading rack above the display and is Polar heart rate compatible, cardio theatre ready and FITLinxx certified.
